COEN BROTHERS 'SINGULAR AND IRREVERENT' Visual Identity

Visual identity for the cinema circuit "Singular and Irreverent", presented by Cine-Teatro Constantino Nery (this time online). The circuit brings you the best of the rich cinematography that the Coen Brothers made along the way. Starting with the dreamy western 'True Grit', it gets way further until the crazy psych of Anton Chighur in 'No Country For Old Man'. All of that with a lot of golden gems in-between.
Since arriving on the cinematic scene in 1984, Joel and Ethan Coen have amassed an impressive body of work that has garnered them critical acclaim and a devoted following. Their highly original works include both comedies and dramas and embraces various genres (neo-noir, romantic comedy, western, and the gangster scene). However, most of the Coen's films deny exact categorization, and often centre on eccentric characters and convoluted plots. Always bearing the brothers unmistakable stamp.

Watching mostly of the Coen Brothers movies, i realized how Bold the characters are, and how heavy always is the subject. On the other hand the scenario is usually fragile, but the characters are courageous and eloquent enough to make something happen out of it.

So my solution was to develop a bold design language that displays action and some 'unexpected predicament' (very Coen Brothers) of the facts that are about to happen, and the big use of white space reflects the emptiness, and fragility of the actual scenario.
